RRtK : Meet the armies : The Derigion and Vorozion Empires

This serie of article is to complete the rules update with specific Nation armies.
Rules update is found here
The Derigion
Derigion's army
Supported in the past by a large and respected army, Derigion's commanders are uninspired and lose campaign after campaign. Not that their units are inefficient, their phalanges are a real threat to any enemy, but their numbers are not enough and initiative is limited which is very difficult to imagine from an army that dominated Tanaephis few hundred years ago.

(Unit translated from the Bloodlust RPG book.)
Heavy Cavalry
Composed of the nobility, they have lance, shields and plates. They are very powerful but not enough to win a battle by themselves.

War Chariot
Used in smaller numbers as fight are happening more near Pole's walls rather than on a field, the war chariot units have a high status within the Derigion society. Each war chariot is composed of 6 horses and 4 soldiers. They have arcs, swords, mail and plates. the How Many represents the number of war chariots.

Phalange
Spear head of the Derigion army, they have been the most feared units of Tanaephis but with their dwindling numbers they are usually too stretched to have enough impact on a battle field. They have swords, spears, shields and mail.

Slinger
Slave unit, they screen phalange units and provide support when Phalanges are engaged. They have sling and small swords with leather armor.

Scout
This is a small unit composed of slaves used to scout enemy units by engaging them in contact as fast as possible. They have a very high initiative but their combat value is very low. They use spears with no armor.

Archer
This unit is composed of 20 common men levied to provide range support. They have small swords and no armor.

Levy
This large unit of slaves and lesser men of the population is armed to swords and whatever armor they can wear, usually none and sometimes leather.

Mercenary
Derigion army needs to hire at least 1 mercenary unit every season they hire.
